When a home is on the market, the owner is not just selling four walls and a roof; they are selling a lifestyle.
In practice….on the ground…that means the seller need to help buyers envision what their lives would be like in that home. How it would feel to have your friends over for WNBA playoffs in the living room, playing in the backyard with the kids, or unwinding in the lux master bathroom of his dreams.
When first touring a prospective seller’s home, I always ask my clients why they love their home and what they would improve. Chances are, what made them fall in love with their home, a future buyer will too!
What do you LOVE most about your home?
P.S. Although decorating a home can be expensive, most homeowners only need to focus on key “value add” improvements to make a house “love worthy”!
